At Gasharu Coffee, visitors can participate in guided tours led by passionate local farmers. These tours provide insights into sustainable farming practices and the significance of coffee in Rwandan culture. Guests can observe the entire coffee production process, from seedling cultivation to harvesting, processing, and drying. The farm employs nearly 400 locals, with a majority being women, emphasizing community empowerment and environmental stewardship.
This tour takes typically two days.
Visitors may choose to visit Nyungwe National Forest on the way back to Kigali, which is 45 min away from the coffee plantation.
The price includes transportation for a round trip Kigali to Nyamasheke.
